Yuva Music Festival

Yuva Music Festival: Transforming Lives with Music

Yuva Music Festival, the signature platform of the Musicea Arts and Culture Council, was founded by Maestro Surendranath Majumdar in 2014. It is a free, non-profit international platform open to music learners, amateurs, professionals, and enthusiasts. Guided by the vision of “Transforming Lives with Music” and the mission “Music for All,” YMF has supported and promoted thousands of young artists and musicians across India and the world. Several among them have gone on to become renowned and accomplished performers.

Since its inception, Yuva Music Festival has emerged as one of the most diverse and inclusive music festivals globally. Participants are free to choose their preferred form of performance. Held annually, the festival features national and international concerts, performances, masterclasses, seminars, and symposiums.

This transformational platform receives support and contributions from embassies and consulates of several countries; music educators across six continents; schools and colleges; NGOs; national and international government organizations; and Indian defence establishments. Additional support comes from celebrity artists, cultural institutions, corporate houses, media organizations, and, above all, music and art lovers. Each year, thousands of children and youth-from the most prestigious schools to grassroots institutions-participate alongside children from NGOs, underserved communities, and differently-abled backgrounds, all sharing the joy of music and the spirit of positive thinking. As the most diverse and inclusive festival for music and the arts globally, the Yuva Music Festival continues its journey of transforming lives through the power of creative expression.

Yuva Music Festival also serves as a platform for students, educators, and young artists from India and abroad to connect, network, and exchange artistic ideas and expertise. In 2021, the festival expanded to include Dance and Yoga as additional fields of engagement, further broadening its interdisciplinary impact and holistic approach to the arts.
