Kodály Children Music Exam

The Kodaly inspired Children Music uses a child-developmental and progressive approach. The aim is to introduce learning the rudiments of all forms of music using a sequential, scientific and fun-filled methodology. The introduction of new concepts begin with the easiest for the child (age appropriate) and advances to the more complex. Pedagogical concepts are constantly reviewed and reinforced through games, movement, songs, and exercises. The sequentially graded course for Kodaly Children Music suits children between three to seven years.

Kodaly's message about the right time to start music education, "Nine months before the birth of the child," moreover "nine months before the birth of the mother." Within the school system, "music teaching should be started in the kindergarten so that the child can grasp the fundamentals of music at an early age" since the development of musical hearing can only be successful if started early before the age of six in a playful way.
